Anchorage Birding Trail by Audubon Alaska

Join Audubon Alaska Communications Manager Lauren Cusimano for a virtual tour of the newly revised Anchorage Birding Trail from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, at the BP Energy Center.

Updated in collaboration with the Anchorage Audubon Society and other partners, the Anchorage Birding Trail is a virtual guide to 35 birding sites throughout the Anchorage Bowl—a region that boasts more than 160 regularly occurring bird species. These sites range from classic birding hotspots like Westchester Lagoon and Potter Marsh to day-trip-worthy opportunities in Eagle River, Girdwood, and Whittier, and are broadly organized into three simplified habitat types: coastal, forest or freshwater, and alpine.

See all the birding opportunities that the Anchorage area has to offer as part of the launch of the new and improved Anchorage Birding Trail!
