The Fall Freeze-Up Bird Walk

Westchester Lagoon, Kayak/Canoe Launch/Viewing Deck, 9:00 am

Come watch waterfowl and other birds at hotspots around town before the lakes freeze. Andrew Fisher will lead this outing to a number of good waterbird locations around Westchester Lagoon. Enjoy searching for the less usual waterbird species during this exciting time of year or just enjoy the typical species that are still with us. Bring binoculars and a scope if you have one and dress for the weather. We will bird rain, snow, or shine.

We will meet at Westchester Lagoon at the Kayak/Canoe Launch by the new Viewing Deck at 9am. The field trip typically concludes around 12-12:30pm, but bring snacks and/or a lunch if you want to keep birding with others afterwards. Blueberry scones will be provided!
